Sea Star Costa Rica

Sea Star CR operates out of Playas del Coco, Costa Rica  and serves all the Papagayo Gulf area. We offer private charters for sport fishing, beach hopping, and snorkeling. We share our passion and knowledge of the Guanacaste coast and responsible sport fishing through specialized service, catering each tour to your specific interests.

We often make pickups in Playa Ocotal, Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Playa Panama and Playa Matapalo and Peninsula Papagayo. We are happy to schedule pickups South near Las Catalinas in Flamingo and Playa Conchal for an additional fee. 

Sea Star I

Sea Star I

Sea Star I is a 26-foot Robalo center console with outboard Yamaha 200hp 4-stroke motor. Equipped with private head, sound system, and fish finder, she is a comfortable touring boat. The Sea Star I is an economical option for a great day of fishing or with family for up to 4 adults.

The Big Eye

The Big Eye is a 32-foot Jersey Custom Express Sportfish with tower and CAT 350hp turbo diesel engine. Equipped with ample seating and shade, fighting chair, private head, sound system, and SONAR fish finder, this is a sport fishing beast that changes gears easily for cruising the coast with friends and family.  

Michael

Michael will be your main point of contact before your trip. He handles reservations and is especially interested in customizing your charter to fit your wishes. Don’t hesitate to reach out to him before your trip with any questions or special requests. Also, he will follow up with you after to send pictures we take of your trip. Michael communicates easily in English and Spanish. 

Captain Ronald

Ronald is from Playas del Coco and grew up fishing these waters. After working fifteen years on a professional fishing boat, he is focused on responsible sport fishing. His experience and passion for sharing his love of the ocean allow him to captain an incredible fishing or ocean adventure focused on creating lasting memories. Ronald communicates easily in Spanish and understands most English.

First Mate Gerald

Gerald is also from Playas del Coco and grew up biking the mountains around town and exploring Costa Rica by land and sea. His passion for sharing his love of the Costa Rica – its culture and its nature – makes for a fun and informative trip. Also, he makes incredible ceviche or sashimi right on board from your catch. 
Gerald communicates easily in English and Spanish.
